Today taught me something important.
I made a mistake—I copied someone. And guess what? It did not end well for me. At all. I thought it was harmless, maybe just a one-time thing. But when I really sat with it, I realised how wrong it felt. How fake it made me feel. How much it hurt others and embarrassed me.
And here’s the truth: copying doesn’t get you ahead, it only makes you lose yourself.
Whether it’s ideas, style, words, or work—what’s the point of doing something if it’s not yours? If it doesn’t reflect you?
So today, I’m making a small but serious request to everyone:
Please stop copying each other.
Not because it’s annoying, but because you’re honestly stealing someone’s thoughts, effort, and identity. And worse, you’re robbing yourself of your originality.
Being inspired is one thing. We all learn from each other. But straight-up copying? It’s just not it.
So yeah—lesson learned. I’ll own it. I messed up.
But I’ll also grow from it.
And I hope others do too.
Let’s just try being ourselves. Loudly. Proudly. Authentically.
